    Heck yeah!!!!!!

    He shoots...he scoresssssssss!

My brother shot a 7 point this morning. He has shot his 2 biggest bucks ever in the last 7 days; completely different areas. Saw a couple of bucks chasing a doe. He got out of his tree stand and snuck up to the cornfield. The doe came back around and he smoked him. Went 100 yards and weighs 184!

A buddy near me shot a 160" + buck 3 weeks ago. Bad shot. Had him on camera a week later. He doing him dead this morning. Thinks it succumbed to infection from his shot. Feels horrible.

Got up into stand I put up yesterday. It's on a bean field, currently being picked. Good sign over here. This is where the big 10 I saw a week and a half ago came from. Good bedding to west.

Hope to catch something chasing. IMG_6195.jpg 20211106_.jpg IMG_6230.jpg

So I basically have 3 days left to hunt solo, hopefully anyway. Monday is the only day I can say I will pass deer in range. Tuesday I will hunt the morning and then probably shoot anything that comes in range in the afternoon. Wednesday I will make a call based on weather, I know for sure one other will be hunting. Thursday will will be my guaranteed brown and down day, button buck, doe fawn, buck or doe. Doesn't matter.

Not wasting my time tomorrow, will likely be 4 other people hunting. Talked with other hunter on the way down this morning and he said they have huntrd every weekend since opening weekend.

Think next year I am going to work it out with work to work weekend shift and take weekdays off starting mid October. Done ssving and wasting vacation days.

Definitely not the "17 day rutcation" I envisioned

It’s not over yet. It’ll happen, just be patient.

20211106_160041.jpg 20211106_160020.jpg 20211106_160005.jpg Another new set, well really old new. The green field is farmers hay in background. The trail is one doe have been using regularly to and from field from our place. Hoping buck will check...it is also near gully. At end of one ridge and 200 ft from another.
