It seems ewrly, but it seems on time as well. That buck yesterday wasn't leaving her, wasn't a year and half year old or spike chasing her aimlessly.

Seems it always happems during my vacation, hence a lot of complaining, which would normally start tomorrow. Seems somewhat early this year, I'll agree with that. Button bucks have alreadybeen kicked away as well. Just seems everything is a week earlier than I'm used to. Maybe the buck to doe ratio is really out of whack in the area.

This button was the last deer seen today

Finally found a place with life. Strong tracks pounded into this small bedding area and some real fresh scrapes. Working a runway into it.

Very well could be...If so, I'm sure it will bring out the older mature bucks to whoops some ass and get shot!

When there is white oaks, fresh combined corn, and doe bedding up wind… you sit on the driveway. IMG_2385.jpg

there are definitely some bucks on lockdown with a doe already. THP had one on last week's episode. But there are still plenty that are not.

I will say it seemed that bucks were on the prowl about a week early this year. On October 23, my cousin missed a 2-3yo that was dogging a doe, grunting the whole time. Said the buck was definitely trying to pin the doe down to that specific area as he kept swinging back and forth in a semi-circle, cutting off her escape.

I almost hope they are truthfully. I have 10 days left rather than the normal 4-5. Earlier they start breeding the earlier the mature bucks search for their next one and cruise by my stand at 11:27 on a Friday......

I'm in the same boat. Had to schedule a doctor's appt for tomorrow at noon so no deercation for me yet. Head up right after, will not likely be able to get into a stand before dark due to time difference. Looks like I'll be setting up my camper in the late afternoon and ready to hit it hard over the weekend.
