There are bucks making some crazy noises. Grunt then growl. Grunt then growl. Have not came out of the thick laurel to see what it is. Deep grunts though.

It sure does, the only thing that I can think is that the wind must have swirled at the wrong time because the doe kept going. He is a beauty

I’ve got 1600 grain lacrosse alphaburleys but hate wearing them when I need to climb into a small bow stand. Toes did not fall off and all is well.

Time to get some work done. Left the gear in the tree.

Saw coyote no shot at 10 yds we surprised each other, no more deer.

Got down went check camera without my bow. Ended up running into that coyote again. He didn’t see me this time. Just stood my ground and recorded. At one point he was at like 5yds. He never saw me but came all the way around me and caught my wind. Pretty cool, but I wish I could have killed him as it was the original reason I got access to the prop.

He was pretty big beautiful coat!

No luck. We had a sparse blood trail for about 30 yards and then it vanished.
Steve did find one spot of blood right at the road.

We’ve been all over for the last hour and a half trying to pick the trail back up but we can’t find a thing. There’s no way to predict where she went once she hit the road.

    We’re still looking.
