Okay, I know it’s been a while but Steve and I did locate a blood trail.

The arrow actually didn’t smell bad and the blood didn’t really look bad at all.

Still, I know what I saw so we’re going to take up the track tomorrow morning. It’s cold here and we don’t have a huge coyote population.

Here is where we left the blood trail:

I'm thinking now that it's possible I might have clipped the liver. I think she may have been quartering away a bit. I'll find out in the morning. I had no intention of trying to find this deer tonight. We only went about 20 yards to identify the direction of travel, marked it and then backed out.

On a promising note, Steve was able to see the continuing blood trail from where we left off so it should be easy to pick back up in the morning.

Yep. You should be here Adam.

Where are you when I need you?

Yeah, if Steve hadn’t shown up I’d have had to call my wife in and she would not have been happy with me.

I guess that bike was camouflaged better than I thought. The doe I shot walked within 10 yards of it.

Making some coffee and waffles and will be on the road in 35.

    Side note:

Dear Yeti, please make a single serve brewer capable of utilizing your 30oz tumblers. I'd appreciate it so RTIC and others can replicate it at 1/3 of the price and I can buy one.
