    That's why we kill them, the tape doesn't lie :lol:

    He's a good buck either way, better next year if he makes it or maybe gets that first timer a great start to his passion.

    One thing my Aunt said that sticks out with me. After she said the big one she's seen was up in the field when she left. She said there really isn't anyone left to push them around anymore. Since my uncle passed I know a few of his good friends no longer hunt there for whatever reason, although they are always welcome. Her Granddaughters father moved to southern IL and is the one that hunted a lot on adjacent and this property, had trail cam pics of my 2016 big 12 and his shed(s) for 3 years prior.

    My uncle was one of the greatest men I have ever known, along with but not surpassed by one of my Grandpa's and another uncle. Paratrooper in Vietnam and just a genuinely gracious human being. He died June 12th, 2018 and to this day a .22 rifle still hangs on 2 nails in his deer/squirrel box stand from 2016 he built when he was diagnosed. Has never been touched and likely never will be until it rusts back into the soil.

    All the pressure on the heard is gone aside from those of us that still hunt the property, 5 that I know of including a few kids. The age structure is going to go through the roof, but so is the learning within them as some continue to take poor choice shots and teach the deer that way.

    I'm getting a little off track and missing my uncle's advice and talks in general.

    Tomorrow resets a new day, a new buck steps out and just maybe he is the right one.

    I saw 3 tonight. A forkie wanna be fivekie. A 2-1/2 yr old with a nice bod. Has potential. He got 12 yds and he finally caught a swirl. Then i watched a lone doe feeding in the corn. That was all. Idk if ill be out tomorrow or not. I kinda need to go through my gear and get everything lined back out. Maybe later in the morning. 95E74062-5F1A-4550-A6A5-2533649DB3DB.jpeg 38F4C270-094A-4EAF-A504-F6478A355881.jpeg

    Nah, was likely Darryl on The Walking Dead when he covered his motorcycle. I haven't watched it in a while though so probably it.

    Night all, I'm 3 drinks deep on a 2 drink night.

    3:30am is my wake up, no more sleeping in, sleeping in can lead to poor judgement. Including but not limited to the call to sleep in.

    Tomorrow we slay the giants.

    Good luck @LittleChief , never a good feeling.

    That's a great Fn motto.

    @LittleChief, sorry I'm not in the area to help you track. This has been a strange/stressful year. I need deer hunting to escape. Escaping will cause me harm...

    Let's go Brandon.

    @Shocker99 , too.
