She starts working her way out into the clearing in front of me and he crosses the path and goes to the same scrape the spike that harassed the buttons yesterday hit. Still no good visual on him and size and she is out in front of me with relatively calm wind.

He finally starts my way and I click my release on. Big body, decent rack. Both in range and neither focused on me

Now I am missing helping on an epic tracking job? Stupid life responsibilities. Good luck, from an earlier post it looks like help arrived.

He's a 9 point. Missing left brow and right sode is only about 1 1/2". November 13th, shoot. November 3rd easy pass.

Contemplate the doe and the wind gusts right to her and she spooks a bit the left. He spooks a bit as well and moves towards her. She's facing completely away and no shot if I wanted it.

    Maybe tomorrow.

And sorry for breaking it up like I did, I just want you all to feel what I do every hunt when I cannot particpate in the greatest thread ever. I hate it, it's worse this year than it has ever been.

I hope I never get hurt while down there now, my truck would have to be there 2 hours after dark before my aunt would be suspicious. Especially with 4 wheeler still in drive.

It may come to haunt me yet, it wasn't as easy as I made it to be. If he had two brows it would have made it even harder. I still need a true clean 10, the big ten I shot in '17 had a sticker on his base and made him an eleven.

Torn between if he was 2 1/2 or 3 1/2.

I guessed 2 1/2 but that had no bearing on shoot or no shoot, tines did.

When they left. The doe trotted tobthe left under some branches and he hit the weed edge, as he did he let out a snort. Not a wheeze and if he was by himself I would have said he sneezed. Seeing it, I know it was him laying down the law telling her not to run off and make him chase her again. That made me think he's got this breeding thing down and is 3 1/2.

Was definitely something cool to see and wouldn't have seen it if I shot either one.

He is every bit 3 1/2. Around here a 4 1/2 old buck doesn't get that big of body. He was a impressive specimen. I wouldn't have past that deer. I'm sure you will get your chance at something bigger. The one your aunt had seen, was it bigger then him?
