Did you see much today? It’s hard to keep up with the thread plus I had a really good morning and no time to read. Someone is going to put one down tonight I can feel it.

Heading out now. Should be on stand by 2. Never hunted this spot in the evening. I hunted it late last week it had a nice ground scrape about 15yds from the stand. I’ve seen some good ones on camera and in person at this property just never able to connect. It’s windy and chilly chance of rain around 5pm

They're located right by me and are a great local success story.

Sat down at 7:00 a.m. went to put my bow on a hanger - pitch black and hear footsteps at 5 yards. Freeze. After a lengthy standoff the doe (confirmed on trail camera after hunt) finally walked off...

Nothing else by 9:20. Leaned forward - not focused at all as this would have been my 5th straight hunt without seeing any deer and a buck busts me at 35 yards or so in the thick thick cover - moving toward me (woulda passed at 5-10 yards) exactly how I envisioned it happening in this set.

Not sure that he was a buck I would have shot - but probably pushing 130" based on what I can tell as he was blowing running away from me. Back to the stand this afternoon - trying to get some work done quickly.

Back in the stand. Got in at 1:15 and was getting everything situated and one of the shooters was chasing a doe. Doe went by on the trail I set up on. Buck veered off and started bullying another 8 point around.

Back in my jeep. I made it till one, lol! Not sure what I’m going to be doing tomorrow, I won’t be able to go to my deep spot and I should probably give it a rest for a few days. I have a repair man coming to fix our pellet stove at three, and then Class at 4. Might just rest tomorrow. Good luck pm shift!!

That's awesome. One time I had a hawk land on the branch right above me. It was probably a foot above me and I wasn't sure what to do so I a sounds of some sort and flew about 20 feet across a little opening into a tree. I stayed still and within a minute it came flying directly at me and instinctively I raised my arms and it veered off. We sure see some cool stuff out in the woods. Way back in the 90's tons of raccoons got rabies and one time I was up in a tree about 2PM and had a raccoon stumble to the base of my tree but fortunately kept going.

Im not seeing any chasing yet. Ive actually not seen a buck and doe together except in the big destination feed field. But there is scrapes everywhere. On the way in i saw a scrape with very large print. Licking branch was like 7ft high with busted off twigs. Mustve been on his tipee toes

Just wrapped up today's hunt. Wind got to much and need to head an hour back home to get check and move some money around so I don't need to Thursday.

    Today's magic hour was 11:20 to 12:15.
