Oh, I was planning on hunting the new moon this week no matter what. It's when the extended forecast started showing what the weather was going to do that I got excited.

    It's gonna be fun.

Tomorrow is suppose to be a cold one. Temps are in the mid 30's.

After I got to my trk I heard what I thought was either a buck fight or a buck tearing up a tree, in the general area of my stand. Can't wait til morning.

I'll be in NJ for a Thursday afternoon through Sunday hunt. Pretty excited, I almost never get down there this week. Tons of Doe around, so the big boys should be checking on them.

Today was the first time I got to actually use this rig hunting.

    It was awesome.

It’s too bad I didn’t get to try carting a monster out with it.

    It’ll happen.

Mine are quiet even in cold, but not knowing what yours is made of can't say.
    I have this one

Amazon.com : Arcturus 3D Leaf Ghillie Suit (Dark Woodland, XL) : Sports & Outdoors

(holy crap, was not $70 when I bought it...more like $50.)

and another one that's more of a poncho cut/pull over that goes down to my knees that's even better on the ground. Not fun to climb a tree in, however.

My wife is the same and I would have to climb back down as well. She worries too much sometimes but I’d rather be able to text her to give her peace of mind.

Who makes that bow sling that you have? Looks pretty good and better than what I am using.

That's a conversation too long for my attention span at the moment. More of a hunt camp and some beers/whiskeys convo, but in short, it is what ya make it.

I honestly have no idea. I bought it at Mack's Prairie Wings in Stuttgart, AR. I can try to find out.

I'll say one thing about it though: It's a PITA to put in on a wide double limb bow like the V3. I end up cussing every time I do it.

Once you get it on, though, it's on and it isn't coming off until you take it off.

I know what you mean, right now I have an old worn out primos sling. Seems like you’re going to wreck the cams and string harness when I put it on. The one you have looks well made.

I went outside and looked at it. It has "Tarantula Archery" printed on it. Maybe that'll help.
