Lots of questions about the mark on my buck...I was looking for a scar before that picture was taken and I think I had pulled the fur back in that spot looking for a scar. Pretty sure that is why that spot looks that way in the picture. Just pulled back fur sticking up, because that mark is really not there.

live from the C-19 rapid test line...
early cold-type symptoms started Thursday evening. By yesterday I had a non-stop runny nose, sneezing and coughing, slight fever. This AM it's moving into my chest but fever is gone. Smell is diminished but not gone, could just be stuffy. I can still taste though.

I honestly hope I have it, if so I get 120 hours of 'free' C19 sick leave and that means I won't be at work through the end of the calendar year since I have so much use or lose regular leave...:chewy:

Just so you know, the rapid test has a significantly high false negative rate. So if you really want to be sure, do the longer test that takes 24-48 hours.

Well, I'm headed out. Not to hunt, but to do weed-whacking on two of the five miles of Ozark Trail my wife "adopted". Ugh.

Of course she would pick this weekend. It's youth gun season here. Even though no-one is supposed to be hunting close to the trail, I'm sure they will be. Probably not this deep, but you never know.

So, we'll be doing it between 11:00 and 1:00, wearing orange and I'll have my 10mm on my hip whilst running a big Husqvarna trimmer.

    Sounds like a fun time.

good to know, this one is free with my work ID. I get a negative I will go to CVS, although CVS was false-negative for my dad. CDC called him c0uple days later with his + results. I'm off all this and next week anyway, but if I'm + I get to pull that scheduled leave back and reallocate it.

Yep, and you do the swab test you have to quarantine with Dr. release until results are back, so paid leave as well for Monday/Tuesday.

Got all my gear packed for tomorrow's deep trek. I'm double guessing myself now, wondering if it is too early for them to be cruising the ridge. temps in the morning will be mid to high 40s, and low 50s for most of the morning. Sunny, with a west wind.
