I don’t have kids, but I’m definitely drinking cold beers in my BIL’s driveway tonight. It’s 16 beer Saturday and I haven’t missed it in quite a few weeks.

Small coyote rolled through..wanted to shoot but these 125 grain stingers are at a premium these days.

Time to get moving. Thinking about going deep to break in the saddle.

I've convinced myself, there are 2 blobs that lot a lot like bedded deer ~150yds south of me... I can just see at the furthest edge of the canopy....

If they'd just cooperate and head this way...well, if they are in fact deer and not a log or pine straw, that is...

Just got back on stand for the evening hunt. No deer this morning, so I’m hoping to have better luck this afternoon.

Not a breath of wind. It’s so still I might actually be able to hear them before I see them.

Just got in for the evening hunt. I got soaked this morning and saw nothing. I have 1 huge oak in front of me and a field to my back. Hopefully the deer get hungry and work this way. 1fresh ground scrape about 35yds from my stand. Here's the oak she's a big one. The squirrels have been working under it so hopefully some acorns left. 1635624714925.jpeg

In the same tree as Thursday's doe kill and a tree the shooter buck walked by this morning. Hopefully he will meet the Grum Reaper while checking his scrape line.

Good luck pm shift! I’m crouched in a drainage ditch right now watching a half acre patch of woods in the bean field. Had one of the shooters at 36 yards on the walk to the stand but he would t take that last step. He ended up in the here bedded down. Making a game plan now.

I think this hunt is over. Have people riding a 4 wheeler up and down the power lines about 150yds to my east. My cousin pays all these taxes on this 40 acres but doesn't care who's up here or what's going on. Guess I shouldn't complain it's not my money but dang this would be a great spot.

I wouldn't get discouraged. Bothers you more then the deer. I had two guys walk down the rail road tracks scouting right before prime time one year.
They were really loud. I let them know I was there and they went on their way. Killed a good buck 20 min later....

I could ask but my cousins a strange bird. I asked before if he would sell it he said he didn't want to. Not even sure I could afford it. It's 40 acres w/ electric on it and a 2acre pond. Besides I'm not sure how many more years I'll be living in the great state of NY.

Just got into a new set up. Before I was ready I look up and see two bucks and four dies about 40 yards up wind. Had no idea I was there and I certainly wasn’t quiet. Wind hid my noise. Finally settled and rattled in a little buck. Got a good video of him within 15 yards looking for the fight. They’re out here chasing does big time here in South Central IL.
