I didn't see chit. Lots of fresh tracks, rain stopped sometime after dark last night. Starting to get some daylight buck pics. I won't be out again until Wednesday or Thursday.
Going to try to get the wife out tonight and or tomorrow morning and I'm going to stay home and watch the kids. It's her 1st yr bowhunting, I'm really hoping she gets a shot

So I’m sitting there enjoying the nice morning when all the sudden a backhoe starts up…. At 8:45 about 200 yards away.Yep 1/2 mile from the f ing road in the middle of the woods. The f ing neighbor hired a guy to make a road across a low area, said it was only going to take 2 days. Mind you he said it was to get across the swamp by the road, he said nothing about it being a half mile back from the road. I said sure that’s fine.He was there 2 days a week and a half ago and I thought he had it all done . Yep we need to do this on a Saturday a week before gun season starts. Needless to say I got down and am beyond pissed off.

It's killing me not to be out, but I got to remind myself that it's still muzzle loader and the woods is full of people on the weekend. Got some trick or treating to do with the kids, then will be out tomorrow.

On this day last year is when I went in and setup on historical sign that was left for 3 years straight. I got in at 2 and by 2:30 I shot a big buck. Although I hit him in the shoulder and never found him, it worked. I was alway a day short for the past 3 years. So tomorrow I'm going back to that spot to replicate that hunt. Just hope he's not in there today, and I catch him tomorrow. These bucks definitely replicate same behavior patterns from year to year.

If we have enough representation out hunting I’m betting quite a few bucks will hit the scoreboard those three days.

I threw a few bleats out with the extinguisher hoping a big doe’s maternal instincts would kick in. I had that one come in about 30 mins after but she turned right around when she saw nothing was in the food plot. She acted like she was looking for it though

Pulling into my MI public spot. Will have no service.

First sit of the year here. Not much buck movement in the light but it has to start sometime.

In a neighborhood. So that way kids aren't out late on a Sunday before school the next day.

Geez there for a moment After checking today's date I thought "they'd " changed Holloween.
I see, don't agree though...everything in life shouldn't be changed for convenience. Part of the fun of Holloween was going out and staying up a bit later on a school night.
The older I get the more I hate....Hhhmmmm...society.

2nd reason for them prob changing it to Sat is bc parents need alcohol on Halloween to survive. Party in driveways and launch your kids off to eat candy bars full of razor blades.

It's actually a win win. I get to drink tonight while walking the kids around and I don't a have to try and get sugar filled kids to bed early for school the next day.

I don't know if it's this way all over the country tonight, for all I know it just the neighborhood I'm taking the kids to tonight.
