    What I saw this morning was something different I think. Rack was different and in a good way. Maybe my eyes were fooling me, but this thing was ridiculous. Couldn't make out much of his body bc he was in the golden rod. Kind of rack that makes your heart skip

    How is it everytime I’m tagged on a buck I see big shooter bucks but no doe hahah. Just had a big 8 come under me

    I think it has more to do with this. It’s part of the reason I’m sitting in my recliner this morning. The other part is I’m getting ready for a 2 1/2 week trip to the forest here so I’m gonna be loading and packing gear.

    I don’t pay much attention to this if the rut is in full swing, but rut activity is just beginning to appear here.

    I have no buck tags left myself but We can party hunt in Minnesota so whenever I get someone out here with me willing to let me use their tag on a buck. My girlfriend has her tag yet.

    I also have never been one to take 2 bucks in a season. I will not shoot another buck unless it’s going on the wall.

    Saw a shooter 15 minutes ago. Headed north, towards me, must have taken a right - away from me and off property- into bedding. I've only seen 6 shooters here in 4 years. This is my doe spot. Dang. Grunted after he went behind a tree and never saw him again. Tree blocks 60 yards of his path. Closest was 100 yards. Dang.
