In the blind on the food plot with the wife this morning. Had a decent 2.5 yo at 10 yards. I nudged the wife to wake her up but she startled and he took off. Didn’t blow just hopped into the cover. He wasn’t a shooter but nice to see. Waiting on a doe to come by. Had a 3.5yo or a well fed 2.5yo 8 on the cam at 5am here.

One lone doe about 15 minutes ago. Never saw me, never got downwind, but she got awful nervy, blew twice and went back the way she came. Not sure if my scent had settled over there. Kind of a light breeze, so idk.

Little buck and turkey in the field north of me. Given an opportunity, I'll shot at a turkey.

We are out. Zero for us. Good luck to all! We wont be out this evening due to taking the kids trick or treating.

Had a doe come to the end of the plot but she didn’t commit, turned around and browsed back from where she came. Hoping she pops out here somewhere.

Just a small spike so far this morning. Almost took a shot at it thinking it was a doe, then it turned its head and I could see the little spikes.

The comfort side of my brain is starting to try and control the killer side. Hey go get some hot coffee and warm up....hunt til 10 it's slow out here.

Nope. I'm packed with food for the day and I love this spot minus only having seen 1 deer in 3 hrs. A siesta may be in order but I'm not leaving until the memory deficient President sings!

    Saw some bald eagles.

A large flock of geese out on the lake to my west... Another squirrel.

I forgot to bring my pellet gun...

3 does so far. All with their fawns yet. Tells me they haven’t been pushed or chased too hard yet.

Well...up and down morning. Managed to lay eyes on one shooter that is just silly big, but he was out at 85 yards and didn't give 2 hoots about my grunt call, just kept on his line. Nosy doe and her 2 yearlings parked under me for a while. She eventually picked me off. Blew, ran, came back, blew some more. Finally said screw it and drew on her with full intent to kill her, but she had seen enough and took off. Gonna sit here a while and hope my luck changes.
