Never seen them and short of something like this playing out, likely never will. It is something I would love to see though, so I'll definitely be looking on the way to the property Sunday morning. May even take a darker back road route if timing is right. Right on the edge though.

Doe is fair game for me, hell a fawn is onnhis menu. My first goal is killing a deer for a coworker, he's reimbursing my tag and fuel costs. Said he'll even take a fawn, just doesn't want an old buck. I intend to shoot the biggest deer I can within that criteria.

Debating on switching it up a bit tomorrow by sleeping in and doing an afternoon hunt. I’m running on 2 hours of sleep from last night and hopefully 5 hours tonight. If it was a week from now I’d get over it and run on empty. Not sure cause burnout sets in real quick and the best is yet to come.

Be safe, not even a deer is worth the alternative. You know your limits, if you feel it is for the best do it.

Chit, I'm shooting all day every day. Never said I would pass my goal in lieu of his.

I don't expect to see a shooter until at least the 3rd or 4th. Likely later

    Joe, you're an animal:cool:

Tomarro is my birthday and although I hunt every year on it (except last year), I took a quick snooze and it ended up being more then a "quick one", I can't remember hunting a morning,
I'll be in a tree

    Happy Birthday!

Take that dog out for a walk, or better yet, stick one and let the dog trail it.

By that I meant I will shoot the first doe I see, not holding out for a shooter buck. I'll likely see a doe before a shooter.

It's all good, poorly worded on my part but you had a point.

get 'em in both lungs they go lights out b/c they collapse and oxygen can't get to brain at all. Even with a hole in it, if the heart is still beating there's still some oxygenated blood moving around...until it's all on the ground anyway.
