Soon is all I can say, it's finally here. Halloween weekend and November.

I'm going to have patience this year, I'm nit letting boredom get the best of me and misjudging again. I would love to shoot a mature buck in October, but in 13 years it hasn't happened yet. Other than that I want a gnarly non-typical or droptine

My buddy is out on the urban hunt this evening. He is set up 20 yards downwind of the rub. The buck was found dead on a golf course a couple of days ago. No idea if another hunter killed it or what.

Crazy, buck looks untouched on that side. Wonder what other side looked like. No blood in the bottom of the bed either.

I'm officially out for tomorrow. Forecast had had showers in the morning, but leas than a tenth of an inch total. Updated forecast has up to a half inch, too heavy and unethical for trailing on a potential bad shot. I'll be out there Saturday onward.

Saw 1 doe from my ground setup tonight. She never came into the field she was walking back and forth in some thick stuff. Got to plan out tomorrow’s plan of attack.

Good size doe. Incredible that a heart shot deer runs farther than a lung shot deer. 20211028_184947.jpg 20211028_185001.jpg 20211028_184947.jpg 20211028_184852.jpg

yeah that is what I thought was weird. You would think if it had been bleeding from a wound, vultures or coyotes would have got to it.
