Yeah I’ve always heard that. I’ve hunted for 8 years now, and still never have got to hunt a Halloween

My buddy shot a good one at 10am. Shot was a lil back, he’s going to back out and I’ll go back with him around 2. Got good blood at impact. Was quartering away, entrance was back of liver. Found arrow and looks good.

Man Jim that’s the best way to sleep, 20 ft up and all the fresh air you can inhale. Was it a summit?

Was it a pass through? Quartering away and entrance was liver should already be dead.

Did he already try tracking and bumped him or something?

Yep. It was the regular summit climber but it folded flat for carrying. I don't think they make them anymore.

Werewolf’s lurking in the dark on your walk back to the truck is the best part!

Is it against regs to hunt during that period or do you choose not to because of potential for flying bullets?

No he didn’t, he has to get payroll done sooo he’s going to do that and if the bucks dead he ain’t moving. It’s plenty cold, yes complete pass though. Arrow kicked out 10 yds from shot

Big bucks are starting to cruise here in central MN. I'm getting in the stand this afternoon.

Thankfully it’s not an issue here, I hope it stays that way as long as I’m alive too!

Getting all my gear together now for an afternoon sit. I just need to check a camera a few miles away before I head to a stand I just hung. Up in the air which one I will go to. Hopefully I can finally get meat in the freezer! Good luck to those headed to stand this evening.

Tennessee. It’s a bummer but other than that Tennessee is a really good state to hunt. You get two buck tags, and you can hunt on Sundays. In my zone I get 8 doe tags too

Hunting from 10:00 to about 2:00 is a good idea during a full moon and a new moon, but I’m still not willing to miss that first and last hour of daylight.

If I need to be on stand during the middle of the day I’ll just stay there.

The wind is perfect for tonight. If the deer do what they have been, I should get an opportunity on one
