I looked at my pictures, all the bigger bucks are still moving at night. All the pictures of does and fawns are all random times.

Heading out this afternoon… Going to sit on top of the ridge in the timber just off the field edges.

Hopefully the deer are bedding below me in the timber and not in the standing corn. If so - NE wind and thermals should be pretty good.

Need them to work up toward the cut bean field and standing corn. Hopefully to check a scrape.

60 degrees. Leaves changing - should be a beautiful sit either way! Good luck fellers.

Took the family out on a fishing charter in Florida today. The morning was slow but everyone caught a least one; mackrel, bonito, and trigger fish. Trigger fish were thrown back since they weren’t in season. Pics are in the fishing thread if you are interested.

That is crazy - once they start to go down hill in the antler category it doesn’t take long?! @airenlow did he die or any story after 2017?!

I’ve got one right now that from the looks of it is very mature - his antlers ain’t bad but clearly on the downhill side in my opinion. Just don’t have the history you have obviously.

I get that, but for me given that I travel to and hunt the same general areas in 2-4 states every year, I am going to be there or not. I'm on more of a schedule than the deer.

Just hate to pick a set, then getting pics of deer in other set areas while I am in the dang tree. Drove me nuts for 2 seasons, had to give it up. Murphy beat me.

This is the kind of days we look forward to. Slight breeze. 50 degrees, dropping into the 30s. Late October. Sitting 100 yards from where I saw the biggest buck 9n this property in 4 years. Skylined him on the drive out, 4 wheeler, Saturday night. Real nice 10. Put a line of doe in estrues out. Welcome to boom town deer!

That logging road should be the ticket… this wind is better than 8 imagined it would be. I don’t think these deer have felt much pressure yet either so I might try and call a bit during the last hour.

it’s also so damn calm nothing is slipping in on me. All the cards in the deck are in my favor here. Just need a big to show.

Got all set up at 2:30. After an hour trying to get situated in the tree. I flipped my platform to the other side of the tree. Now im all setup. Backwards from normal with how everything is hung but ill manage. Ive never hunted this corner of the property. Cut corn to the west, cut beans to the north, standing beans to the south, crp trees and creek to the east and just past creek is standing corn. 20211026_152156.jpg 20211026_152139.jpg 20211026_152126.jpg

I'm not out it's pouring but I just sent my son out to the chicken coop blind. It has a covered 4ft wide over hang that is framed in for him to stay dry. It's also where the deer have been filing past to get to field. Unfortunately some were already on the field when he went. Fingers crossed the 3 buck from my turkey hunt show back up for him.
