    In MI, young bucks actively chasing/shadowing does. My cousin missed a 2.5yo that was shadowing a doe, and we were checking a cam down in a swamp and had a doe come barreling into us with a 2" spiker right on her butt. Looks like this giant storm is going to miss you guys that far north but I imagine it will kick start things in our neck of the woods, especially with a new moon coming down in about a week.

    Hope ya'll are ready for some all-day sits next week, it's going to be a mid-day party out there

    In central IL I've seen younger deer doing some light sparring and having some interest in does. I've seen no rutting activity whatsoever in older bucks yet.

    is that a Magnus Stinger? Looks very similar to the ones in my quiver.

    Just went thru 3rd bedding and same as rest, no deer. I'm finding fresh tracks, they are just bedding some where else. Never even bumped or saw a deer. Now heading back to truck, eat lunch and head into a new location. Taking stand and just sit on buck sign for the evening. It is hot out, mid 70's. Going to get low in valley close to water this evening, think deer will do the same.

    Getting ready to hit the road, half hour drive. I should be in the woods in 45 minutes or so. .

    I have one of those I leave in my truck. It's great, but I always forget it! Haven't used it in 3 years, haha.

    Thanks for reminding me, strong storm coming in right before dark, I need to take my rain jacket. Winds are supposed to be to strong for umbrella.

    Yeah that sounds like a solid plan! We don’t have the Highwind yet, it is oddly blowing from the north east 5 to 10 mph. I’m thinking of setting up on a transitional edge, right near a 20 foot ridge.

    I was going to warn @Swamp Stalker the same; the wind this thing is packing are no joke. Rip that umbrella right off the tree.
    Half my drive home last night I couldn't tell if I was hydroplaning or getting buffeted by the wind. Hands 10 and 2, clenched jaw (and other body parts) f0r about 3 and a half hours. I was wiped out by the time I got home.

    Yeah I running from the woods after dark. Calling for 30-50 mph winds. That's also the reason to not take the umbrella.
