Good luck today Brett. We have had torrential rains for the last two days here. I hope to get out tomorrow since the weather is supposed to clear up.

I’m heading in. Trying an area I’ve yet to hunt on my property, will see. Good luck everyone!

30 min walk turned into 50. So thick out here I had to keep semi circling blowdowns. Working a downwind trail...cut some big tracks this summer in here. Who knows who is home.

Spike came in perfect. Jumped into the creek and gave me a show. Surrounded by turkey. Big boy or doe takes that route they are getting an arrow.

I’ve been set up for about 30 minutes on my home place.

Just after I got set up a deer walked almost right under me. I know it was a buck of some kind. A single deer walking non-stop is almost always a buck. Of course it was probably a little guy.

I’m in a killing mood today.

I’m up, didn’t bump anything that I know of. Crisp 32 degrees, passed a couple of new scrapes on the way in. I will find out what it’s like back here this morning.

That spike came back in being trailed by what looked like a 3 yr old. Ain't nothing to write home to mama about but he is a dirty big woods buck so I let one fly at about 18. Sight pic was about a 3 foot window bc it's so thick. Put it right behind his shoulder and I it sounded like it hit hard..maybe offside shoulder. OR a tree. Lol. He nose dived and tore through the woods. Sounded like I messed up his front legs bc he was plowing. Nothing after 40 yds. Then silence. A few minutes after it sounded like something was thrashing around on the ground. Now nothing for minutes. Got nothing but time to kill so I'm gonna sit til 10 then slowly proceed.

2 blade broadhead at 500 grains. If I hit shoulder I pray it stuck something to kill him.
