I'm up with the wind in my face. Not much of a shooting lane and can't see all that far but this is a good pre rut spot. Top of the hill transition area. Usually see a scrape from here, bit I don't now. Not a good sign.

Out with my son in the blind. Rain was supposed to stop but not showing any signs of doing that. I told him 10yds is max. The right thing to do is leave but it is an awesome night.

Back in a stand at home. Light misting rain, dead calm. Cameras aren't showing much but I'm hopeful that deer are on the move.

    I'm in.
Top notch evening. Low 40s,light wind and full sun.
I've shot 2 130ish bucks out of this stand over the years.
    Good luck all.

I typically won't let others hunt here till late season but my 80 year old neighbor really wanted to hunt tonight but didn't have a stand for this n.e. wind.
I love the guy and he's a da,dandy, good hunter so I set him in a stand about 80 yards from where I'm at.
He may have just shot as I heard a bunch of crashing near him.
xand he won't shoot unless it's big.
    I sure hope so.

Been a cool spot over the years, but they tend to come in quiet, so I'll likely not have my phone out much after this. The camera in the Pic (talking to you, Joe) has been soaking a couple weeks. I have no card reader that works, dangit, so I'm excited to see if anything other than Coyotes is on it. 20211023_164442.jpeg

Eating chili before hunting was a poor idea.

Haven’t seen anything but a groundhog and it’s a big one. I actually had to talk myself out of shooting it.

First sit of the fall. Wind isn’t the best but I don’t know which way they’ll come from.

    Good Luck, everyone!!

Hahahaha I’m calling the CO on the property owner who I lease this from for hunter harassment. You can’t make this stuff up.
