They did however question your absence and brought up malingering …..

Complete down pour. I'm soaked to the bone. And no I didn't bring rain gear. Let's see how long I can make it on stand.

Settled in. On a doe mission. 60 degrees. Calm. Overcast. Haven’t sat this stand all year - maybe only once last year. Just changing it up.

I’m in a tree. Sitting on a ridge top white oak saddle about .90mi in. Saw like 5 scrapes on the way in and I wasn’t really looking. I really like this spot … saw a nice buck here last year. Service is really bad.

Had that happen earlier this year - I pulled my cards on my trail camera and headed to the truck… ha

    Scrapes. All fresh.

You ever get to a spot and just hits you- why the hell haven't I hunted this spot before?
Been hunting this general area for 15 years but never made it to this knoll. That's a nasty ass swamp about 50 yards beyond the scrapes

 I just circled the heaviest rains since you said down pour. Rain is never fun, especially with a brisk wind and sleet mixed in.

Not sure how much long I can last. Rain has just about stopped and sun trying to come out. My only savings grace is I have my wool on. But boy does wool stink when it's wet.

Good luck everyone! Back in the stand, a little later than I would have liked but have a solid two hours to go. In a new spot sitting over a food plot, if a good doe comes in, I might stick it tonight

Hey Joe, I'm reading that memo, subpar effort in this case doesn't mean good... This ain't golf.

Good luck second shift, we gotta make the numbers for the month!
