All setup! I took my time getting to my spot and I have to climb this tree gently because it has hard bark the hangs out, shag bark maybe, and is super loud. 45 minutes till legal shooting light… let’s spill a sh1t ton of blood today boys!!! KILL!!
All set up and ready to whack one of these enormous does… I know the big buck will probably walk by now that I don’t have a buck tag but hey, last sit in this lottery spot so I’m here, headlamp died on my halfway to the tree but I was still able to get in quiet, a light rain started right when my headlamp died so that helped a ton. Actually got my platform set, climbed in and checked my phone, cell cam 50 yards behind me had a doe come through while I was setting up! Good luck today killers let’s paint the leaves red!!
Hell yeah bro, I love the passion and drive! You could have easily slept in after killing a buck yesterday, but here you are! Love it!!
Set... Best trees were bent about 15' up... Fourth choice, where I'm sitting, a shag barrel hickory. Decent entry, dispite some bark 'sheets' hitting the floor. If you can magine the limemans belt snagging every 3 feet... :eyeroll:
I was able to sneak past the deer in the field. Hopefully they come my way once they leave the field. Deer are 200- 300 yards away thou. Good thing I don't need my headlamp.
In the stand and ready to go. Busted two deer out that were under my tree. (Par for the course with this stand)Hoping for some good movement today Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
44 degrees, clear, light west wind, leaves crunchy, and it will be go time in 2 minutes! Shoot straight!!
11 minutes until I head in, to work. 5 1/2 days I load the truck, the 7th day I'll be on stand hopefully. Rain is forecast for now, chit ton of it tonight and tomorrow as well.
Some one must've brought their pet rooster out here. Just heard it clearly. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
Sat down 50 minutes prior to shooting time. Cloudy here, but moon still makes it bright. First time in this stand for the season. I keep hearing reports of a big buck right around this stand- not sure what big means to them. Does are on the menu as well. Cheerio!
Daggumit running about 25 mins late. Probably going slide in about 15 mins before first shooting light. A little closer than I’d like to be cutting it. This community scrape I’m going to be sitting near has been on fire. I’ve only hunted this stand once all season. We will see what happens. These 30 min drives to the tee stand were a lot less expensive last year I can tell you that much.
This is a guy my youngest daughter is dating. He shot this last night in western Indiana. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Looking forward to some blood today! I see the usual crowd has gathered. Shoot straight and take that extra breath if you can. I'll be in my stand shortly and expect today to be bonkers, gonzo, bananas and all that. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Where at in Westerly IN Jim? I’m as Westerly as we get up here in Terre Haute. Hell the first buck I ever killed resided in IL he walked across State Line road and got killed. Heck of a buck!
Well you know my daughter lives in Terre Haute and I know it's real close to there but I'm not sure exactly where. My wife says my daughter took her by the place once and it wasn't far from where she lived. But of course she couldn't tell me where for sure. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
