I really appreciate everyone’s words of encouragement. I’m hoping for the best!! I’ve had this terrible anxious feeling ever since the shot. Calmed down a little now but still a little worried. Maybe first blood will change my feelings.

Honestly I had the same thing happen to me last year also. He got away but same type of hit. Arrow broke off though. Lots of blood for 100 yards or so then drops. I’m hoping that arrow staying in him will keep cutting him up

Took forever to get home quietly. Still spooked one deer trying to cross to field. As I was packing up the Tom's I was hunting popped up on the ridge over 150 yrds away. They were back lit by the setting sun coming up out of mid hill swamp bellow. I waited them out as they came into the wood lot to roost. The hens had gone up.behind me away from chasing deer..
I need to make a decision on how bad I want a Tom. I draw my compound better from a ladder stand than a blind. The crossbow only, limits me to just turkey. Carrying both is becoming a pain when things are happening so fast. I think just the compound tomorrow a.m.

I really hope that buck is laying right there in that thicket. He went thru this last year and it didn't turn out well. I'm sure his mind is racing. Let's go Happy!

My son and I had another doe and two 8pts come in at dark and hung up at 45yds. He got a real education tonight about scent, sound, paying attention, and decision making. It was a lot for a 10yr old but he did great.

Ok Happy all the previews to this show have ended now it's time for the feature film to start. Where the heck are you????

Where the Heck is Happy from? What timezone? If he's in Cali or Hawaii

Holy hell, that Death Wish coffee is legit. I literally finished 2nd cup about 8:30 to 9am. I've never been able to drink more than a thermos of regular Folgers/Maxwell House as it messes with me. Soda never really did, but I don't drink much of it anymore.

I know one thing, if I drink a cup of that on the way to property, I won't fall asleep on stand and I'll bet I could hear a cricket jump from 90 yds.

Thank you all for following along and all the congrats!!! As most of you know this was my first ever PA archery buck in my 16th season of hunting. I’ve missed, wounded, everything except pass a legal buck. I did that 3 different times with this buck and was absolutely kicking myself afterwords each time. What an awesome way to end this week! This buck showed up and was at 30 yards in the corn but to my weak side, I spun around to shoot but by that time he had cleared my lane, he then stopped at 45 which is further than I wanted to shoot. I threw out a few grunts and he kept going back snd fourth like he wanted to come check me out, he finally was coming back to my 30 yard lane in the corn and I drew, he then headed straight to me, then turned snd went back the way he was going, this happened several times, eventually he got to 45-50 again and was ready to leave when I let out a longer deep grunt and he turned and came in the woods, crossed at 30 yards in my lane and I doubled lunged him, he went off about 50 yards and did the death wobble, made it about 10 more yards and crashed, most of this was all caught on film too, except I believe he stepped out of the frame when I shot.. but hey I’m pumped, extremely tired from a week straight of hunting, but I have one more day left and 3 doe tags to be filled… clothes are in the wash now and will be in the dryer before I got to bed! Ready to get after it in the AM. Thanks again everyone!!! IMG_4712.JPG

He in PA. On the southeastern side. Think he's going in now.
