I can tell already that I'll have to be diligent. While I was reading through the I kept thinking, ok getting closer, then I'd come back an hour later and then theres 6 more pages added on to the end.

YeH the next few weeks are basically just a ton of gifs, memes, blood trails, and dead deer. Just a great place to be.

I didn’t notice blood on his side arrow entered. He was just circling around like he didn’t know what to do. Can’t see any blood in ground at point of impact through binos.

Backup 8 is dead! Shot him at 30 yards after I pulled him in from 45 with some grunts

Where I lost sight of him it is thick and very rocky steep hill. Th his has been the longest 1 1/2 hours of my life so far. Another hour or so until I am getting down and backing out.

Short story while we wait on Happy. 20 some years ago I arrowed a buck and watched him walk off. I waited until dark to get down and start my track. I lose blood at about 100 yards. I see a light off moving around in the timber so I walk toward it. Little did I know there was another hunter in a stand 200 yards from me. I walk up to the guy and he tells me just before dark he had a buck come in. He says he turned for a split second to get his bow and then turned back around and the buck was gone. I asked him to take me to his stand and show me where he had last saw the deer. The buck wasn't gone. It laid down and died 40 yards from his stand and he couldn't see it behind some dead fall. lol! He was kind enough to help me drag it out of the timber.

That guy and I are really good friends. Strange how you can meet someone in a bizarre situation and get a life long friend out of it. What are the odds?
