Me and the old boy are en route to MI deer camp. If this is his last Rodeo I want to make sure he has some fun

Good luck man. Just keep looking. Did you mark where you last had blood on your phone? At least go in the general direction the deer went based off of memory of the shot.

I’ve been in a 350 yard radius of last blood, and have looked thoroughly. Ik she’s dead is what’s got me agitated

Short of a dog to help.

I first look at the direction and keep pushing that way...

Last resort, I assume either headed to bed or water... Check them out. If you have a pond/stream make sure you look in the water.

Just had the spike from yesterday come in on me. He got into 35 yards. Then proceeded to the tree I was in yesterday morning. Watched for about the last 10 minutes. He just ran off like yesterday.

Yep, he mentioned yesterday she was going the direction of a pond, would have been too early for a need for water, but I would walk as much of the bank of that pond and vicinity as possible.

About 30 minutes ago three does came running in. They stopped 60 yards away. I heard a buck grunting behind them but never saw him.

It’s awfully early to see and hear that this far south.

The does never got any closer.

At least I got to take my bow off the holder.

I found her stiff in her bed. The shot was further back than what I thought. She must’ve took a step when I shot. I’ll show y’all the pic in a sec

I wish I could "like" this a hundred times. Hope you all have a great time. And bonus points for writing "en route" instead of "in route" like I always see. :moose:
