All set up!! Loads of scrapes on the field edge and in the finger of woods I came through, really good trail that I walked in on, think I am close to bedding it’s really thick in here, I’m at a little open spot right by the creek found some rubs along this creek. About 150 yards from the cut corn field and about 200 from where I had the big 8 on camera the other morning

Well glad I called in to find out status of the bear season. Apparently 24 have been shot in the game zone I'm in. We have a 30 bear quota. I'm assuming all were taken on private land. Since last year they only had 2 taken by this time. They just started to allow baiting on private land. So the season for bear may close early next week.

This is what it's all about. Sheer excitement and anticipation.if I ever lose that feeling I'm done.

Good luck everyone! I am back in the same tree as this morning, light drizzle being blown around in the wind. Hopefully it calms down shortly… or at least stops spitting

Just shot a doe. Shot felt good. She ran 30 yards and I heard crashing then I saw a deer walking flickering it’s tail. I hope I made a good shot

I really can’t say for sure. I thought it was good shot until I saw what I think is her walking flickering the tail. If I had to guess a little back. But she was slightly quartered away at 23 yds

Its early, give it time. If she's dead she won't be far. If she is not, better to let her bed and give her time.

I'd give it an hour from the initial shot, try and find first blood, take a picture of it and post it here to get opinions. do not go any further into the track until you get feedback.

Just sent my son out to gully stand. It's been a reliable buck stand for me.
Not out exhausted from cleaning and canning while the furnace e guy came to do an estimate...5,200 . Plus 200 yearly for full service 24/7 . . I hope son gets a nice buck.

There is no bad smell too it at all. Dirt is all over, so I can’t see if there is bubbles. Leaves on the ground are dark red with a little bit of bubbles
