Nothing too exciting here yet. Just a lone fawn. Unless you count the second unforcasted rain shower of the day as exciting…

Well, I’m set up at my brother’s place in Arkansas but I only have my muzzleloader with me. This place is so thick it can’t be bow hunted.

I’ll sit this tree this evening and tomorrow morning and then I’ll either head home or head to Wattensaw WMA where our cabin is.

Well some random guy came walking by that wasn’t suppose to be on the property. I didn’t stop them cause all I had was my bow and they never saw me. Pretty sure it was the landowner that lives beside me that I’ve never talked to and has no regards to property lines cause I’ve got a trail camera picture of him last year on the property. Only happened once so I wasn’t worried about it.

No shots fired but saw 2 small bucks and a doe. All within range and no clue I was there. Back at it Friday after work.

I snuck out to hedge row. Had a doe and twins in bow range. Not my land. There were two big doe with one fawn each. No buck in field since Monday.

In case you hadn't heard, us Midwestern dorks just bumble around ruining everyone elses hunts. Treestand toolboxes. Apparently you have to be born and raised over 6000 feet altitude to grow hairs on your sack and know how to hunt.

I’m up at the house and relaxing now. No other deer seen, but did have a buck grunting just out of sight. Back at it in the morning

Just the back up 8 and a fawn tonight… torn on where to sit tomorrow morning, ive been sitting on the gasline and it was great up until this morning, saw 10 deer Monday morning, 15 yesterday morning then only 1 this morning there. Or I can sit in the finger of woods that branches out between two fields, that’s where I got the big 8 on camera but at 5am, all other pictures were middle of the night except a doe from yesterday morning at 7am, or the new spot I scouted this morning a patch of CRP tucked back into a curve in the river with woods around it, out infront there is a mowed grass lane and a larger CRP field, bumped 3 deer bedded there this morning

Nothing seen. If I can wake up I'll be up in the morning. In the upper 40s so that might help wake them up.

Go to some place you've never set foot. Predict how the deer will bed based on the wind and go in dark! Roll the dice

I’m down and back at my brother’s house.

I was sitting there looking around. My brother’s house was only 25 yards away. I could see neighbor’s houses.

I just sat there and thought “this isn’t hunting” and had already decided to pack up first thing tomorrow and head to Wattensaw.

About 10 minutes before last light the does showed up. I didn’t even reach for the muzzleloader.

I just got up, started packing up and spooked them off.
