    Shooter was just out in the field. Just the wrong corner. About 300 yards away. Grunted and he turned my way so I hit the horns for a few seconds and he went back in the woods over there

    Good luck...that's so tricky especially without a decoy...you never know just how much fighting they've done. Eventually they get shy of it unless in their face..
    I try avoiding lures and too much rattling grunting....So many hunters surrounding me just alerts them to what's NATURAL and what's not.

    Though did buy a bottle of Anise oil...it's the scent in several buck lures on the market...pure vanilla too...seems to draw deer in

    Yeah it’s hit or miss here, some come charging in, especially the good ones, some take off right away, and some just stand and stare.

    Yes, I’m glad I could help. I pride myself in being the best friend I can be. Just was a little agitated in the beginning. I had already seen 5 deer in the first 30 minutes. Had to throw water bottles at a spike and fawns so they’d leave. I took him out for breakfast and I’ll be out in an hour.

    That’s it for me too. I’m going to pull some chips and decide where to sit tonight. I want to get another stand up so I might do a hang and hunt on a funnel tonight
