    Small 8 and 4 point have been chasing several does through here like crazy, they also locked up and the 4 worked a scrape and rub!! This is an awesome sit, I about threw up passing the 8 I’ve hunted pa for 16 years and have yet to punch my archery buck tag

    47 now. Yesterday at this time it was mid 70s.
    Stiff wind also.trees are swaying but I'm down low near the river and can hardly feel it.

    Can't believe it's Oct 19 and we still have leaves on the trees.:eek2:

    It's so quiet out here.
    Had something else co.e in on me. Never showed me what it was but i believe it was a deer. The crispness of the footsteps and the pause between each step were to evenly spaced to even think of it being a squirrel or a bird. 45 minutes to go.

    You had a pretty good day on stand though. Anytime you can see that many deer sure makes it fun. The right one will show up sooner or later.

    SS and VS, can you guys not find any private ground to hunt?

    Just can't comprehend what you 2 do. I think I'd quit hunting?
    I know I'm spoiled in that I've got so many great pieces 9f properties to hunt. Heck, I don't even ask for sole permission.
    I feel kinda quilty actually.
    I just asked for permission last week on 140 acre piece that has a river running through it. Guy said "knock yourself out" and I don't even know the guy.
    I wish I had the "OBSESSION "I had 20_30 years ago. I'd be out every day!
    Anyhoo, slow tonight. One doe n small buck. I left my stand with a bit of shooting light left to navigate around a couple nasty cockleburr patches.
    Beer,classic rock and pizza on the menu tonight:cool:

    The doe finally caught my scent ,winds were bad tonight. She just trotted it of field but nothing else showed.
    Walking up the hill into a full moon I heard commotion in the woods at upper plot. Son spooked them dropping off a trailer.... we had a talk....stay off property during prime time or....I'll go to camp and shoot the biggest buck down there.....
