The other guy I moved for and his wife just left. Barely made it the first two hours of daylight. Based on the way they looked, doubt they saw anything. Thanks forcing me to move, at least I saw deer!

I'm out. About a hour after sun up I heard a deer walking on the opposite side of the thicket as me. It was making alot of noise. So when I left I walked out that just to look for sign. Right there was a big fresh rub and a scrape under it. Now I know what the noise was! I'm still feeling like crap from a head cold, so just going to be done for the day and relax.

Seeing I'm down this morning, we went down to pick the car up from studs being put on and an oil change/ lube.

Wow just had an Amy copter fly so low and slow over our tree tops I could clearly see the pilot.

Any who... driving down the hill a little bit ago, there was a doe and 6 point standing right between a ladderstand and the new box blind in lower field. Actual compound shooting distance from both at 35 yrds. Hoping soak has me out for the afternoon. I'm going out to shoot the target to check.
Drove the block on way home. No vehicals at any of the camps..

Haven’t seen anything since the does at about 8:30. Going to give it another 30 minutes and head out. My boys have a flag footbagame this afternoon.

Tell my wife that all the time. But this thing has been hanging on for a full week, I just need it gone.

That’s it for me. Afte I got down, I went and scouted the area where I saw the does. I found an overgrown service road leading out of the thicket with white oaks on each side. I picked a better tree for the next time I hunt this spot.

I’m getting down. Wind has gradually gotten stronger and stronger, now it’s starting to feel like an amusement ride rather than hunting.
Nothing moving this morning, I never do well here when the wind is blowing like this.

Alright bad news… I completely missed the second doe. Lighted knock didn’t go off but I thought I hit her b/c of her reaction.

Did hit the first doe. Stomach liver. Lost blood after about 20 yds. Walked around awhile, a long while found her down a small mountain on the other side of the creek clinging to life at like 1145. Ran back to truck grab my bow, ran back. Zipped her again and through the good stuff. Went swimming on the way out.

    Intestines plugged her up.

So that guy more or less running you out of that spot this morning may have done you a favor. If the does are bedding in there, the bucks will eventually be there to check them out.
