I grunted him in thinking it was a doe. He came from a side I’ve never had deer come from

Lost sight of the does. They were a litte bowl with a thicket. Pretty sure they bedded as I have bumped a doe group out of there last year in late season. There were at least two that I could see maybe more. Wind and thermals are perfect. I am going to give it until about 11 and they work this way.

Lets just say if i was in a band it would be named Two Does Down. The second doe reacted weird. I think i hit her a little back but not extremely far back. She slunched and just stood there. Even took another bite of food. Then she slunk away and bedded down. Pretty sure i did hit high guts and one lung maybe. I watched her bed. Gonna go back to truck and let her be

I’m all setup, first sit of the year for deer. Just turning daylight. Mature buck, bear, and turkey are all fair game this morning.

I’m down safely, walked out to the field and nothing going on. My cell cam has been lighting up in the evenings at that spot and it’s a better evening place then morning. I’ll be back this evening looking to let one fly on anything!

I think I’m gonna climb down at 11, unless I see some more movement. Grab some food and watch football until this evenings hunt sounds really good right now

Two deer just ran by. 30 seconds later 2 dogs come by noses to the ground. I don’t know what I’m gonna do abt dogs again. Had this problem last year
