If I have mid 80s for a high when season opens in Kentucky I’ll consider myself lucky.

Got a kill plot cleared up today and hung a stand, it’s on the edge of the corn field and fence row. Funnels the deer around the edge and down to the pond. Gonna plant clover and chicory mix mid August.

Wow, you all got started early this year! I've been putting the tractor to good use. I have several plots going. Soy Beans, Sweet Corn/Sorghum, Turnip and a Turnip//SoyBean that was clover until 2 weeks ago. Winter comes quick here so I need to plant Fall plots in July. I have one stand to put up in the Beech Nuts, but besides that ready to hunt here in VT. Serious shooting practice is starting .

NJ is all set up as well, just need to tighten straps when I go back late August. Ill be there for the opener on September 11, if work allows. Definitely be there Sept 16 for four days.

Nothing big on the camera in VT. Some real nice 7-8pts in NJ on the cameras. Cant wait to get back there in late August to check cameras again.

Anyone here talk to Pitman away from this forum?

He hasn't been on since early January 2020 and I know he had been having some health issues for a couple years prior. Used to be a mainstay in this thread before his health took a hit.

What’s really cool is the camera is only about 90 yards from my house. Those deer are in easy gun range from the window beside the toilet.

4 cams setup on a new property. I have relocated and am back to hunting an area I used to hunt 8-10 years ago. Sign is still tore up in some of the spots I hunted in the past. On the plus side I did not see any sign of people being back in where I setup. Time to let them soak and see what comes by!
