Live from the grill, enjoying some fresh straps. Took some of y’all’s advice and pre cooked the bacon then wrapped the backstraps to keep it crispy. About to fire them up!
WTF? You serious Clark? Did you find him alive and arrow him again? He looks salvageable if you will. Can't wait to hear this, this is the one you thought you went through the straps?
Sorry everyone, hectic past 30 hours between work and upgrading a gaming computer without effing it up. I'm way behind
I started going grey at 26, no joke. Not completely grey yet but hair is so thin and takes so long to grow I just shave it bald now. Bad part is I despise shaving as well
Had these 2 little brothers walk under me. Then a doe and fawn walked by, but no shots. Saw a few other does 80 yards away. Fun night.
It's kinda of a long story that took place over 3 week time period. The short version is I shot a buck on the 18th of September. I didn't post about it that night because I was dejected about the shot. I had already lost 1 doe and completely missed a 2nd. Then putting a bad shot on a buck just had me really down on my self. I have been on a long journey to find this buck. Today was just another day of search and me and a buddy found him laying in his bed. He had just died that night. This was 18 days after I shot him. I got lucky to find him on the exact day he died. He died from the original shot, no follow up needed. Feel horrible for putting a buck through that, but it's over for now. At some point I could do a detailed story of all the events that happened thru that time that lead to the end. All I can say is its the craziest thing that has ever happened to me in the deer woods! Wow man! That’s epic, I’m glad it worked out for you. The deer woods never seize to amaze me and how things just happen. I’m glad you can get closure on an amazing buck!
Congrats. I feel for you and how bad you must of been tore up. Glad you found him. I would be mounting that story.
Heck of a story. Way to keep looking for him. Longest tracking job I've ever heard of. Beast of a buck.
