Sorry for the lack of story last night. Things got hectic all if a sudden. 20211005_233942.jpg

I shot my doe at 730 and got her to the processor before 830. I had 3 deer coming in and drew on one. Then a bigger doe snuck in front of her. They were going to walk under my tree. I took the shot while she had her head up and side of neck exposed. She dropped. Not ideal, but effective.
On the way to the processor a buddy calls and said his son shot a buck. So on my way home I stop by to see it and find out another guy shot a doe and needed help tracking it. There was almost nothing on the arrow. We ended up getting on a blood trail and tracked over a half mile with no beds. Never recovered it and stopped when we got to property we did not have permission to get on. Kid in the pic is 6' 6" and 310 lbs...so buck looks smaller than it really is. Nice buck and an incredible shot. Still ran 80 yards.

When it comes to having grey in my hair and my beard, I have two thoughts. First of all, I raised three daughters, so I pretty much "earned" those grey hairs. And secondly, at my age, I really don't care what color my hair is, I'm just glad to still have it!

On behalf of bald men everywhere, we thank you for the maturity of this viewpoint. There is no such thing as a bad hair day when you have it. Fortunately, the same is true when you don't have it.

Going in early to scout my way in for the "13" buck. Had him at 5 yds last year right at sun up. Could not get a good sight pic bc of low light so I didnt shoot. He was a 3 yr old maybe 110ish. If he is 4 this year he will be the kind of buck id love to arrow. Closest food source to his bed (found one of his beds last year) is the name of the game on this wet and gray day.

Isn’t that better batting average than normal at this point in the season?

Live just across the street from the CDC in Hotlanta GA... No deer spotted...

Course, I don't see covid nearby either, but the media insists...

Down here at Emory Univ, for a ceremony at my son's med school.

Boy do I have a story for you guys!

2 1/2 weeks ago I shot a nice buck and lost it. Same night LC shot his buck and lost it. Well it's a long story and will tell it later, but I found him this morning! 20211006_111845.jpg 20211006_111812.jpg 20211006_111837.jpg
