So much for this plan. 90 yrds past house a doe is feeding directly under stand I have to walk past. Then I see another doe up the field on edge of neighbors woods. I finally snuck by. But they have already got to field. Let's hope the boys are late arrivals. Seat pad in place butts warm and cumfy. Grunted a bit....let's hope.

Happy is on stand this evening. He said he didn't have the service to post. Haven't heard back in 2 hours. Said he did a hang and hunt on the spot he was seeing all those does on the last hunt. Will update for him if I hear back from him.

In a treeline with picked corn E & W of me. Neighbors to the north probably walking dogs - 3 does came running from there. They ducked back into woods.

I just got set up for the afternoon/evening. About 2 hours of shooting light. Set up in a shelter belt between corn field to my right address bedding to my left.

Been hunting this spot 15+ years. This is a deer highway this time of year. Biggest challenge is not getting busted by the younger lesser experienced deer as they make their way through before the mature deer, that may or may not come, but if they do, it is usually right before dark.

100 ft range, maybe 80 ft I think, but it is 15 feet up in the tree I sit in and that deer is about 20-25 yards away.
