Yep, I'm thinking that. I spend the first week checking land sections for morning movement. If I'm lucky all the better. But 10 to two and afternoon are a mid October on time. With occasional early morning , 2 hrs before light from a blind. I still have 4 sections to check early morning. Each section has 4 stands within sight of each other. One for each wind direction..

That was one of the biggest differences I noticed after my weight loss. I could not sit on any hard surface for very long. The struggle is real!

Well, in that case, I'm taking my rattling antlers and showering in doe pee to counteract my season ending this afternoon. It's been a real grind, but I guess I'll focus on turkey opener.

I’m up ! It’s cooking, gonna catch a lil tan tonight. But I’m in a perfect spot to kill this deer, just need him to keep doing what he’s been doing the past week. He showed up 20 yds from my tree after I left last night, fingers crossed!

Getting ready to head to morning stand to check movement. Season ends at 7:15 so not too late to go sit. ...baked hubby a big tray of dark chocolate walnut brownies and made dinner. Taco filling with all the toppings diced up. That should calm his angst over eating late.. a flock of hens just strolled past the house. I hope the deer are on their regular schedule. They hit the field near dark.

Strictly was a scouting day for me. Went to a new property and went in about 2 miles. Found loads of scrapes and rubs. Going back tomorrow with a few cameras and my bow. I willing to bet this rub line is not made from a small buck. 20211005_143735.jpeg 20211005_144705.jpeg 20211005_150559.jpeg

    Time to kill.

Lovely ENE wind- perfect for this spot. The farmer has already PICKED some corn. It's already at 14-15%...crazy. Good chance for a doe. As always, hoping for a big dude.

Can’t wait to get out and scout tomorrow on my way to do a observation sit at a new property! It’s going to be a tricky one. Owner doesn’t want and stands or blinds on the grounds but I can geound hunt it!!! Gillie time!!
