    She came in at 1845hrs. About 6-7yds. Bolt went in the near side shoulder and center punched the near side lung. Quartering towards, exit took the rear of the far side lung and some liver. She carried the bolt about 10yds, after dropping it went 20yds more and then piled up. Easy track job. Ground hunts are always super exciting. Wild to be on the ground and that close.

    Things can change, but next weekend pretty similar to this one so no plans on making it out.

    Luckily I have the luxury of choice, and having 17 straight days end of October to mid November to hunt, not too worried about getting an early start.

    I'm back home and she is hanging in the garage.

    I ended up having 2 does come sneaking around the edge of the swamp. They came out directly in front of me and by time I saw them they were in the open. I was sitting and my bow was hanging behind me. The one doe smelled my tracks were I walked out to the persimmons tree. She tracked me straight to the tree, looked up then freaked out. I wanted the other doe because she was bigger. She didn't know what was going on, so only ran out to about 18 yards and looked back. By that time I had my bow back and settled the pin. She only ran 30 yards.

    The hardest part was trying to stand and get my bow around while I had 2 does within 20 yards, but got it done!
