All set up for my first evening sit of the year back in the saddle same spot as this morning, I found this spot scouting in the evening when I walked up on a buck and later 3 does… hopefully this is their nightly routine!!!

Back on stand finally. Nice to know scdnr is going to get them Imbocile's. Especially sense, every firebreak has a sign that says not for vehicular traffic.

Not going out tonight...suddenly got a blistering headache and my eyes hurt/burn. I decided to go cut a live maple that snapped 30 ft from the main Gator trail out back and still landed across that trail. Then went to check out where I hunted turkey last spring. All trails needed cleaning and in the process I discovered a major "cow" path through our woods. Not even close to a stand for bow. Lots of straight clean big maple though. I'm going to take one of my climbers out and leave it on the tree. That way I'll cut any attaching nose. Will start with an afternoon movement check hunt. I know they come through our place to hit field in late afternoon. But I'm not sure if this is the afternoon in or morning out trail. There were tracks in both directions. That said I found another trail closer to house doing the same. Would use the saddle and cam over steps ..but Dang if I didn't take it off and put it some place. I've found my rigging ropes ,steps , all straps. Saddle seems to have disappeared .

On my way to the deer stand but it’s a really steady rain right now… I might call an audible if it keeps up. I can’t bow hunt in it.

I was feeling as if it could be a decent evening that the rain might have them up moving a bit early.

    Ps
Remember neighbor with machine in swamp across from my blind....Well I mentioned I was surprised he hasn't gotten stuck playing around. Lol right over the axle bottomed out.Couldn't resist seeing he's .50 ft.away, I took a look. He may have broken the backhoe trying to hook trees and pull himself out. I know he destroyed the trees and the backhoe looks all messed up. He stacked shale and 2x6' s under it....what a mess.
It will take a bulldozer to get him out' Now there is only one person on the hill with a dozen....Hhhmmmm want to guess? Hahaha..he's going to be there a long long time. Karma.....

lol yeah it’s going to have to wait for another night… It’s just impossible - even if I were to shoot a buck it would be irresponsible because tracking will be difficult.

Think I will grab a 30 rack and head to the house and watch some football and LFTS! Good luck boys

Walked a good mile. No oaks really dropping in here which is unfortunate. I do have a couple red oaks slow rolling it. 20211002_160023.jpg

    Back up in a tree.

It's little warm but it should cool off as it gets later. 72 now. Weather app says 61 at 7 pm. 8 mile winds from the SW. I'm on the west side of the field. 16332059886741302994132742903486.jpg
