Don’t know what your temps are like but it’s dry and hot here. The ones I seen tonight did just what I expected and came out early moving towards water. Their thirsty and water is your friend. Good luck.

Forever they said it was supposed to be 75 in the afternoon...now predicting 80 or so. Hot but I'm gonna enjoy the hunt. Thanks for the advice man.

I've hunted south central Indiana quite a few times. Monroe CO. Good time but was tough country for a flattie like me.

Good luck to you and as was said, watch the weather it can be pretty warm down there that time of year. Doesn't usually get what a northerner would consider 'cold' until well after Thanksgiving.

Indianapolis is kind of a mason/dixon line as to weather...and other things.

Hope that didn’t sound like I was telling you what I think you should do… I’m the last person for that but I enjoy talking about how to be successful. Just minds working together so we don’t miss something. We’re all in this together to dethrone team 12:bhod:

I didn't think it came across that way at all. Actually value your advice from today. The place I'm hunting tomorrow has a Creek they may swing by and get a drink of water before they head up to the acorns. We shall see

I’m about to head out the door for the first sit in PA for the season, it’s like Christmas morning, going to be set up an hour and a half before daylight since I have deer coming on camera further down the trail and about 5:30 the past couple mornings

I’m in and hanging here patiently waiting. Got in clean. I’m hearing acorns dropping everywhere. Longest hour in the year is now.

Good luck everyone, just got fully set up have about an hour or so until shooting light, my buddy (boss) had something blow at him, one other guy parked here and I talked to him, he’s across the road going into the clear cut. Forgot my hat at the car but I could use a hard hat there’s so many acorns dropping!!! Good luck today guys let’s paint the forest red!

I’m getting out for my first sit this morning. I strongly prefer evening sits into the last week in October, but ya do what ya gotta do when you have little kids.

If the nearby corn has been cut in the last few days, I’ll be sitting near it hoping to catch one heading back to bed. If the corn is still in, I’ll choose another stand that has a good view of about half the property. Good luck out there!
