Honestly at a loss of what to do here. No real food draw and less deer than usual here. I have another farm bout an hour 20 away, but the owner just found out he has late stage pancreatic cancer. Family is all out there and I just don't want to be a distraction right now. Seems callous. I may just go deep to the back end of this 40 acres here and try to catch them headed to beans to the south. They have to cross a road so maybe they stage longer. Worth a shot I guess

Doe meat is in the fridge. Everything has been washed and I am ready to head back to stand here in a few. Good luck all. Got a stand setup I have not been to in about 2 months so curious to see how much activity has been going on out there. Lots of deer moving through there last year. This cold front should have them on there feet! Good luck all.

Oh man I am deep. The terrain here is insane. I’m only shooting at a buck over 120”..... I need a defibrillator

I’m there at the blue dot. Fresh scrape 25 yards in front of me. This is more of a rut spot, but ya never know!!

I'm trying to decide if I even want to bother going out this afternoon. I'm going to leave the area across the road alone for a few days like I said.

I could go back behind the house or I could walk in blind to the new property and see what happens. If I don't go out this afternoon I won't go out in the morning either.

The wife is away for a couple of days so if I shoot one I'd better make it a good shot because there's no one to help my colorblind self blood trail.

Sounds like a good time to take a couple sits off and get a little rest.
