Maybe even further down the direction he was heading closer to his bed. Might have a little more day light the next time you see him

Thats a good idea, but he was headed south when he walked away and I can only move about 35 yards south before I’m on my neighbor’s property.

Give him a break and keep him comfortable until the24th, 25th or 26th. Moon directly under foot at 6:15. 7:15 and 8:15 those mornings. Maybe he will be a little slower going back to bed.

what's funny about that is instead of "meh" bleat sound I have always used a "bruh"grunty sound to try and stop deer. It works awesome at stopping them with their chest right behind a tree. Not so good in the open.

I’m going to sit that tree this afternoon and tomorrow morning. I’ll think about moving to a new tree, but I’m gonna have to climb the tree I was in first to get my Ozonics mount. That means I would be extra sweaty by the time I climb a new tree and get all set up.

Today is the peak of the new moon but tomorrow morning will be good too. After that I plan not to go back in there until about the 23rd.

My hunt calendar app shows the moon underfoot here at about 7:10 am on the 24th.

I am going to take my cameras and put them out over there when I walk in this afternoon.

Good luck out there everybody. I'm waiting till tomorrow and Saturday to jump back in the stand. So today I'm going with a buddy to fish a lake I haven't been on since I was active duty. Couldn't think of anything better to do on an off day from hunting.

Of all the days to skip hunting, you pick the day of the new moon.

Eh...I just don't have a good evening stand especially with the wind direction we are getting. But hey, the fishing should be great! :woot:

Balmy 75, almost no wind. Buck was here Sunday morning. Guess I picked the wrong stand that morning.
