Well another interesting evening! These darn deer are killing me! About a hour before dark I have a deer walk right to me and stop at about 15 to 20 yards. It's so thick on that side I can't even see it. After a few minutes it turns around and walks away. With this group of does I'm hunting, there is one in the group that coughs alot. I have heard it on 3 sits now and it runs with that white footed doe. Well sure enough I hear it about 10 minutes after the first encounter and they are walking past the spot I sat 2 days ago. Driving me crazy! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I got a little over a week of the season left and I'm going to hunt this spot ever chance I get and I'm shooting one of these does! I won't let them win Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Can’t wait for tomorrow, going to be a bit windy but I’ll be out in MD for the morning, does have been coming through pretty regularly on the cell cam and actually I’ve been getting several bucks coming through, most all of them were at night but one was right at shooting light. Won’t hold my breathe for a buck but I would be super happy with another doe in the freezer.
I'm in the same boat. The amount of sign I have been seeing at the place I have been hunting doesn't add up to the sightings I've been seeing. So I'm thinking either they are moving in the morning / mid day, or it could all be night movement. So I'm going to do a morning sit tomorrow also. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I’m heading back out now, been striking out at my farm. Heading to an urban spot I haven’t hunted at all this year, usually hold up in here in the winter and feed in the neighborhood yards.
I’m all set up for the afternoon at Wattensaw. I didn’t get here as soon as I hoped. The wife wanted to do a 10 mile one way hike so I took her to drop the car off and then took her to the trail head. I got back home, hooked up to my travel trailer and hauled it 4 hours to Arkansas. I’ve moved about 150 -200 yards farther east than where I sat last time in an attempt to cover the trail intersection. @cantexian is coming in tonight so I have a tree marked for him 100 yards farther west. If the bucks do what I’ve seen them do lately he’ll have the first opportunity. I don’t expect to see much this evening. It’s a great morning spot though. Does are a no-go this evening. I don’t want to mess this spot up recovering a doe at night.
I'm up! Cold and very windy. Have a light flurries. Not very graceful getting in, but I feel I'm in the right spot this morning! Good luck to any one else out this morning! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
