Glad to see we're back up and running. I didn't have anyone to talk to when I was in the blind on New Year's Eve. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year!
Once again I had nothing to do with the forum problems. It always seems to happen on a Friday afternoon. I'm starting to think there is a switch that shuts off forum input and either Brad or Justin accidentally hits that switch occasionally when they leave for the weekend.
Can't recall the last one and what was going on in the political thread. I was starting to wonder if it was not an attempt to say "Take the weekend off from the forums and get out", except we're all locked down with nowhere to go and the weather sucked nearly everywhere
Long, tough season. I scouted so hard and when it came time to take care of business, I blew it on two shots on two good bucks. But the more I think about it, the more I realize I had fun and saw some cool things. Saw a hawk land on a huge tree limb and it snapped, the bird fell along with the limb, and then finally detached after about a 15 foot descent. Saw bears multiple times. Helped my friend get back into hunting and he killed a good buck on a place I showed him. Saw coyotes chasing a deer. Actually saw a full albino buck and put on a stalk and got within 30 yards. My youngest got great medical treatment the first two weeks of November and is doing much better. I hunted hard from Day 1 to the close of season. Already looking forward to scouting. Had a lot of fun following along with you guys and really enjoyed your successes.
I'm back up in the stand! Hunting in a cattails swamp again. This is the spot I shot one of the does this year. Found a few fresh tracks coming right past this tree. Can't believe how open and quiet the woods is. Had to walk really slow just to hopefully not scare any deer. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
This is a great looking spot. It’s where I killed my last deer last season. I love these flatland forest creek beds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well nothing for me. I did have something walking around in the cattails at about 20 yards, but could never see what it was. Probably just a racoon. May get one more sit this week, maybe Thursday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I’m down and walking out. I had a spike come in and pose at 17 yards. The only other thing I saw was an armadillo.
