You would think that, but I have seen the opposite many times. Late season can be some of the best hunting. The tricky part is finding the food. When you do the deer will be hearded up. The colder the weather, the better. It also keeps more hunters out. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Joe, good luck if you decide to do late season. I'm in the same boat with low expectations for late season, but at this point it's the only chance I have. Like I've mentioned before, I'm good with just seeing some deer!
I will be heading out in the next hour. Going to cruise 2 parking lots and see what's goin b on and make my decision on were to hunt. I got 2 spots on mind I really want to hunt. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Appreciate the boost in confidence! I'm pretty sure we had zero White oak acorns this year, but tons of red oak acorns. I'll most likely start there. I also know I've seen doe in the past eating either red berries or the leaves off off small bushes right in seasonal wetland areas. I'm not sure what they are called. I have a picture of it on my phone somewhere.
Doctor took care of that after number three. If we have another kid, I got bigger problems than kid number 4 being on the way.
In my WMU, the late season starts Dec 26th and runs until Jan 23rd. It's still gun season now, and I could be hunting with my bow/CB, but I'm letting things settle down until late season begins. I remove my cams during gun to prevent theft, then put them back in right after to see what survived.
Well, Sadie is home, albeit a bit stoned. Not sure if it was vascular or neurologic, but a couple grand just to find out is a non starter. Elevated wbc, so on antibiotics, anti nausea and pain med. She thanks you. Though she feels like ****, she is somewhat able to get back on all 4, though wobbly.
Well I'm up! First place looked a little overwhelming, so headed to 2nd place. Just sitting over a couple faint deer trails coming out of bedding. I'm in a place were almost no one can hunt from a tree. Everything is too small. I'm about 15 feet up and the tree is only 4" wide. Deer like to walk thru this section because it's hard for anyone to hunt, but not me! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Just got settled in. Warmer than I would like it to be for December, 60°. Wind not the greatest for tonight, but I had nothing else to do so let's go. Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Just heard a large stick crack about 50 yards away. Think the deer are coming! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
