Yep. I'm surprised he didn't walk right past me since I don't have a buck tag here in Missouri.

That's okay. I'll start in Arkansas around the first of the year.

Well I got out for a quick hour hunt before work this morning with the slug gun, no deer sighted, it’s tough on public land in my area during rifle season on days where there aren’t many people in the woods, these deer just hang tight unless they are about stepped on this time of the year. Going to give it one last shot tomorrow morning, then I’ll be back at it in MD with the bow possibly next week!!! Good luck out there guys.

Have the weekend off. Have an appt with hand surgeon Friday so Saturday morning I may get out. If I do get out, it will likely be an all day sit, December be damned.

James got it done this evening with the smoke pole. About a 100yd stalk through Swamp brush to a deer that slowly worked its way to us on a field edge. Gave James a 20yd broad side shot. BB. Love hunting with the kids!

Sorry LC. Our last lab, at age 15, went for one last walk with us. He split off towards the end and I figured he was just exploring. When he didn't come back we went looking and found him. Tyson had cancer for a while that was affecting his lungs, but he still wanted to slow walk with us. Its terrible rough.

    Congratulations to James! That's great!

I'm up, dressed and waiting to head back to Mark Twain. I'll have to cut this sit short though and get down around 8:00 or so.

I found out on the drive home yesterday that I have to make a run to Jonesboro, AR later this morning to take care of some family business.

In a tree .... upper twenty’s late season public land. Saw what would have been a nice buck on the ride in with two does. Appears to already have shed one side. Came in here blind pretty thick around me saw lots of poop on my walk in should be a good sign.

Can't like that, but you have my condolences, as you know been there for the past 3 years and old dogs.
The Vitamin D deficiency is no joke and your body REALLY needs it. I was put on prescription D for a couple of weeks and take D pills every day. The cholesterol prescription... No Dr so won't comment other than do your own reasearch and ask what ever question of your Dr. that rise from that. Best wishes
