My biggest hurdle is that I cannot get any big equipment back there unless it’s in the dead of winter and everything is frozen. I have to cross two low areas and it is very likely that I would get anything stuck. These area’s I am working on is for clover, there is literally one tree per foot. What I have done in the past is cut all the trees down with my brush saw to the dirt, blow all the leaves off in the spring and throw clover seed down on the bare dirt. So far it’s has worked very well.
Court got canceled for “deep COVID cleaning” heading to public land to do some painting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh, that's a dozer type clearing then. If it's a "wet" area, Alsike clover likes the "wet." In part of the program we enrolled in we had to plant an acre of trees/shrubs. The open areas btw trees is seeded with different varities of clover. My favorite is Crimson. The honey bees, we have, love it!!
Me and a buddy decided we are gonna do an opening week public land hunt in KY... got a couple of options nothing in stone... anyone interested PM me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Last second trip to central IL with the slug gun. Had lots of sightings but nothing in range so far. Guy on the other end of the farm dropped a nice 8 pt. Ready willing and able to send it when a deer comes into range. Safe hunts Y’all.
Been set for a few hours in pretty much a double saddle that links two ridges.... not a lot of buck sign, but first doe in range has a Killzone with its name on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm in a tree today. Let my daughter go out the last two evenings but she didn't see anything. Im out in the same food plot today. Plot has been hammered by the deer at night. I'm looking for a decent VT Buck, nothing else. I leave the Doe for the kids. Brook is noisy so everything will be on sight.. Good luck everyone!
I’m up a tree for this evening hoping to see one heading to the green field across the property line it butts up to ours but I’m far enough off of that I can’t see the field so we’ll see what happens Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Let's see how this turns out. It's the Tactacam footage of the broken off buck I killed on public land. I finally had a little down time and decided to crop out some of the dead time and see how it turns out after being processed through YouTube. Edit: I just watched it. It amazes me how much crappier the resolution is when I upload a video and then post it. Oh well.
Just had two does get up. I swear they were bedded in a ditch 50 yds behind me... I came within 100 yds of them on my walk in. Crazy. They fed off in opposite directions neither offered a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is surprising. The resolution was way better when you showed me the video on your lap top. Still cool though.
