I keep smelling a deer up wind. So just saw what it was. Have a button buck about 35 yards away. He just stood up in a green briar patch.

My local bow shop has a 27 and a 31 in stock. I shot the 31 the other day just no way I’d buy it. I just bought this bow this summer so I won’t need one for about 3 more years lol. It feels really nice tho

Kind of a cluster getting in this afternoon. Property owner was dragging logs right where I wanted us to go. So we made a last minute switch and set up with the kids. I've never hunted this area of the corn piece. We are out and enjoying nature, thats what counts. I expect last half hour movement.

Had 2 more deer go running off about 75 yards. Not sure what there were or why they spooked. Good to see deer moving!

Well that was a first. Had 2 Bobcats come in and chase a squirrel about 100 feet up a tree. Long story short they didn't get the squirrel and they have moved on. Hope they didn't mess things up to much for this evening.

All setup, had to get creative to get up this tree but I feel good about it, just need the big 12 to run this little shelf.
Also, I turned a camera to the opposite side of the tree and now I’m getting more pictures, they’ve been going behind hide, crazy deer

Finally made it home. It's only a 2 1/2 hour drive, but it felt more like 5 hours.

Good luck to anyone still out. They're moving all over the place. I almost hit three and saw around 20 driving home.

Little Chief during the summer totally forgetting about the upcoming hunting season. A twig snaps and there he is, back in deer Vietnam.

Another day in the woods comes to an end. Only saw those deer on the way in. Did hear chasing again though!

Wait..... You could smell a button buck upwind? What are you, part bloodhound?

I could understand smelling a rutting buck upwind, but a button? You must have a sensitive sniffer.

Speaking of rutting buck smell, I need a shower......
