Quiet morning so far, opening day of rifle season, heard 4 shots but nothing on neighboring property. Saw no deer on the drive in, little 4 just passed by, other than that, it quiet.
Stood in field for about 10 min looking at stars, saw a shooting star and made a wish, can’t say what it was but I think you all know. I have until 9ish, then it’s Santa pictures.

Out with the boomstick this morning. I can hear the neighbor making his way into his property, should get pretty lively with the weather change or so I hope.

Won't be out today, I'm working in the hospital. I'm supposed to be retired but with everything going on, they called and wanted me to do some shifts. I just couldn't say no to my peeps. Plus the bonus they offered didn't hurt either. Good luck to everyone out.

Called in 25+ turkey off the roost..that was loud and wild. ..several right to stand.all moved down the hill one less noise.

Every year this area is a shooting gallery opening day lol my orange must be pretty visible...camp made me confidant to drag one up the hill. Will hunt here more now.

Lots of shots in the valley

Day 2 shotgun Illinois. Eerily quiet this morning until now. Crows and squirrels are sounding off. Heard a couple shots early. We’lol see what happens. Movement has been slow but we’ve all seen big bucks. Just no shots. My aunt killed a decent 8 and we have a few meat deer on the pole.

I’m heading out soon. Rut is on and it should be good all day. I’m torn between bow and sidelock, so I think both will go with me. Going to sit the ladder stand with the bow this morning and then will switch to the blind and sidelock later on.
Good news is it was warm this week so I can access the property again and don’t have to go rifle hunt my other open country areas.
The plan is to hold out for a decent buck, but we’ll see what happens if a nice doe walks in front of me while holding the bow.

@arrowflinger1 - awesome blood pics and great shot on the doe

Gun hunting here in Michigan. It's been too warm. Shot 2 does the other night. So glad to have venison back in the freezer. I still need to shoot some deer with the stick & string. Good luck to ya'll. 20201116_190140.jpg
