Congrats OND! I had a feeling you would get one. Take your time getting him out, you're in no hurry.

Well fellas, I'm back with signal. I'm like 20 pages behind and will try to catch up later.
Had a superb time hunting at my cabin. I did not have the big one in range but holy smokes were the bucks on fire. Dont know how many I seen but quite a few. Passed on a couple nice looking 3 year olds.
One of the best "rut" hunts in years.
I did sneak up on a bedded 140ish buck laying with a doe in a drainage ditch. How the hell I could miss a bedded buck at 10 yards .
Of course a buddy was watching through binos. He'll never forget that and will forever remind me.

Well at least I’m still seeing deer after that big buck blew the area out earlier. Just saw a little fork buck come out of bedding down in the valley

What started out as a slow day has turned into Mayhem. I got a hot doe running around being chased by three different bucks but they haven’t been closer than 60 yards and it’s thick in here. I lost sight of them now, Gotta go!

High winds here today, so I may go in on the ground later. Going to see if I can set up upwind of some low lying bedding and catch a buck moving through, looking for a hot doe. 25 mph sustained and 30 to 40 gusts just doesn't sound fun in a tree stand. Next couple days are warm and windy...smh.

I'm torn on whether or not to hit the woods this evening. We have 36F with 15 to 25mph winds, giving a wind chill in the 20's. The way Swamp is with the rain, I'm the same way with wind. I hate the wind!! I guess it gets down to what you're willing to tolerate?
