Long story short.. this buck came walking across corn field this morning out of a fog the was rising off the warm ground. At 150 yards I grunted once real loud. He turned and looked right at me. Knew he was a shooter immediately. He walked 30 mre yards and I threw him 2 more grunts. He turned and started walking my way. 30 minutes past before I saw him again at 50 yards. When he went behind a tree I got my bow down and put it on the cross bar of the stand. At 30 yards he entered the woods but was straight on with no shot. For some reason he turned and went back into the field. I picked a spot at 35 that I had ranged and waited for him to enter the sight window. As soon as I thought it was a clear shot squeezed the trigger.

Hit a branch an kicked left.

When I found him the rage had almost cut his left leg off. Went through brisket caught top of the heart and broke off in the opposite shoulder. Had a blood trail anyone could follow.

Sitting here wondering if I'll even hunt the rest of the year... Right ..... be back after it tomorrow!

They bound off, be back out tom am. The blood had great bubbles, I know it was a lil low and 1/4 ing away. Thinking one lung and exit low.

Good deal, was hoping that was the case. There's been people that have went hunting instead just wanted to make sure as it could be read either way

Good luck in the morning, that adrenaline dump can make any deer go crazy far on one lung, add in a rut crazed buck to the mix and he could be dead shortly after seeing him or that doe could drag him around awhile. She might do some of the "pushing" he needs to bleed out.
